Geeta Bhavan, another must-see attraction in Rishikesh, is situated on the banks of the Ganga River and is surrounded with the mesmerising beauty of the Himalayas. It is a vast complex that acts as an organization where a devotee may learn a lot about Hinduism and take part in numerous religious and cultural activities.

The organization provides free meals, lodging, and instruction to the pilgrims. Everyone who resides in the Bhavan engages in daily sadhana, meditation, and other required practises. Visitors to Geeta Bhavan can take part in all the events and pay a little fee to use other amenities, eat just vegetarian meals, and engage in all the activities.

Additionally, it provides free boat trips and has a dispensary with free ayurveda treatments and medications prepared with sacred Ganges water and according to religious texts. It provides a nice and relaxing atmosphere for participating in Ganga bathing and other religious activities thanks to the abundance of meditation spaces and bathing ghats.

In the summer, from the end of April to the beginning of July, the ashram hosts special Satsang programmes that run the entire day. Thousands of people visit the Geeta Bhavan Ashram during this period since it is the perfect time to do so.

Swami Sivananda founded this Ashram in 1936, and it is home to a variety of activities.The Geeta Bhavan Ashram is a division of the Geeta Press, a well-known publishing company that produces a wide range of religious literature for Hindus in many different languages, including English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Gujarati, Bangla, Marathi, Oriya, Kannada, Telugu, and other regional tongues.

The Geeta Bhavan houses an Ayurvedic department. Here they prepare medicines from Himalayan herbs using the holy water of Ganga.
The Ayurvedic medicines are given for free by the dispensary. They are available for sale also.
One of the famous attractions of this place is the centuries-old Banyan Tree. It has been a site for penance of various renowned saints including Swami Ramtirth.
The area around the tree and the woods surrounding the banks of river Ganga offer many quaint spots to engage in prayer and meditation.
The two bathing ghats in front of Geeta Bhavan 1 and 3 allow the devotees to take a holy dip in the Ganges river.

The Geeta Bhavan Ashram is situated in Rishikesh's Swargashram area.
From Ram Jhula, one may get here by foot or by using a bike rickshaw.
The closest railhead from here is 3 km away at the Rishikesh railway station.
The closest airport, Jolly Grant Airport, is 22 kilometres away.

Simple, wholesome vegetarian cuisine is offered to visitors at reasonable pricing by the Geeta Bhavan complex.
Here you will get inexpensive kitchen and food products as well as Indian delicacies.

The sacred Ganges River water is available for bathing. A day-long special Satsang event is organised by the ashram during the summer, from late April to early July.
